In the short piece it mentioned how Re:Sound was sending out bills to restaurants across Canada for playing music in their establishments. According to <\/span>Tariff No. 3 \u2013 Use and Supply of Background Music<\/span><\/a> Re:Sound charges a yearly fee for playing music in your business based on either the capacity of your establishment or the square footage. This law was proposed in 2002 and as such they can charge retroactively back to January 1,2003. This applies to whether you played music from a computer, satellite, iPod, or CDs. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
